Appointments / Fees

Please note that I do not accept health insurance.  While some Family Counselors may routinely assign a mental health diagnosis such as, "Adjustment Disorder," in order to receive reimbursement from insurance companies, I choose not to practice this way.  I believe that receiving help with relationship issues does not necessarily mean that a spouse or family member necessarily suffers from a mental disorder.  Avoiding insurance reimbursement also enhances confidentiality, as famly members will not be required to consent to release of personal information to insurance companies or the medical information bureau.  This is why I only work with clients and families on a fee for service basis.  Please believe me when I tell you that  I know that the investment your family makes in working with me, will be well worth the financial and time commitment. 

OPTION 1
Because I do not accept insurance, I attempt to keep professional fees as reasonable as possible.  Currently professional fees charged range from:  $40 to $95 per one hour OFFICE session.   My goal is to help as many families as possible, so my professional fees are set by the client.  Choose a rate that you are comfortable with within this range, and I will accept your offer with no questions asked. 

OPTION 2
 I can also work with families, "in the eye of the storm," (the home) at the client’s option. 
Professional fees charged for IN HOME sessions are $95 for a one hour and thirty minute session.   I find that having longer sessions can often save clients significant time and resources, as it  usually results in a shorter length of time that families need to be involved in the therapy process in order to meet their goals.

For your convenience sessions can be paid for with either cash, credit card, or PayPal. Payment plans may also be available (please ask).  I want to thank you in advance for paying for your session at the time services are provided.

I maintain a very comfortable office at which we can work, however I can also work with families, "in the eye of the storm," (the home) at the client’s option.
